eartfelt Quilt Shop is a locally owned and operated store that aims to bring the joy of quilting to the vibrant and diverse community of Spearfish. The shop itself includes two floors of a large variety of beautiful fabrics, notions, patterns, and kits, that are certain to meet the need of any seasoned quilters and novices alike. With a kind and knowledgable staff at your disposal we can get you started on your latest project in no time!

Our Staff: 

Marla Elsom
, the owner of the shop, brings a passion for quilting to the everyday and is always working to make the shop a fun place for quilters to gather, support one another, and create beautiful quilts and fabric art.

Mary Goddard, is the shop's only full time employee. Mary brings a wealth of experience and expertise to work each day. If you have quilting questions, she is your go-to-gal! Mary has a great sense of color and will always lend a hand to everyone.

Megan Volk, is the perfect addition to the store! She brings fresh ideas and a great perspective to the shop. Meg has an incredible sense of color, and loves working with customers. If you’re needing help with your project, she’s ready to jump in!


Joyce Keith, sews samples for the shop from the comfort of her home. She has an expert's eye for detail and precision. Joyce loves to stop in at the shop a few days a week to meet and greet new friends and manages to find something in common with everyone!

Sharon Coughlin, is one of two long arm quilters for the shop. Sharon does beautiful free motion meandering as well as quilts using the computerized quilting program from Gammil. This program brings literally thousands of patterns for you to choose from to make your project one of a kind.

Jeremy Elsom, does long arm quilting for the shop. He uses the Statler computerized program and offers custom quilting services. His work is often on display in the shop, come check it out!
